Q. What are the dimensions of the Simpson style and can you make this item in any other lengths?
A. Any length up to approx. 3200mm is available. The diameter of this timber is 43mm.

Q. What is the finish of this timber?
A. A clear seal is provided to the smooth exterior, promoting the natural timber material. We've made this style in many finishes, including white wash, walnut, black and painted it in various Dulux colours.

Q. What is the lead time?
A. This item is made-to-order with a lead time of approx. 6 weeks.

Q. Do you have a sample of the timber/finish?
A. Contact us and we'd be happy to send you a sample. 

Q. How is the lamp suspended? 
A. Most lengths only require two droppers, either grey or black. Power is delivered down one of the suspension wires, and creates a minimal aesthetic which our customers love. This is combined with our various ultrminimal ceiling connection options. You can also choose to have this style suspended by rods, particularly of use in a higher wind area.

Q. What if I can't get ceiling access?
A. Contact us to discuss solutions - we've come across every ceiling scenario in our time.

Q. Does this style of lighting need be suspended from a support beam or something stronger than gyprock/plasterboard?
A. No. 

Q. Is this style dimmable?
A. Yes, you can request a dimmable option. We supply Triac dimmers by default, but can also provide Dali if requested.

Q. How much light will this lamp push out?
A. This style punches out 1500 lumens per metre of LED, which is more than enough light for use in your Australian home. In fact, we often recommend having a dimmable lamp so you can reduce the amount of lighting output, especially later in the evening, when some Customers use this linear lighting style as a quasi night light.

Q. What colour LED light output (Kelvin) should I choose?
A. 95% of our Customers use this style of lamp above a kitchen island or dining area and choose a 3000K Daylight colour. This is the default choice. You may however choose any colour from 2000K-6000K.

Q. Can switch between LED colours? 
A. We can provide the ability for your linear lamp to be controlled and automated too using just your phone. You can even change the warmth of the light with this added feature. Contact us for more information.

Q. What length are the suspension droppers?
A. You can have any length you need. We supply adjustable 3m droppers by default. 

Q. What colour are the suspension droppers?
A. Most customers choose the silver default colour, but black is also available if requested.

Q. Where are the droppers positioned?
A. This lamp style does not need roughing in. But if you need need a specific distance between droppers, often because of a sunlight or ceiling beam to navigate, let us know what you need and we can cater for any requirement.

Q. What are the options with two-directional lighting on this Simpson style?
A. You can choose downward lighting only, or you can also choose to have a second LED strip of lighting illuminating upward with our Simpson lamp. This can be wired together or separately for independent control and/or dimming. For independent control, one dropper (and driver) will control down lighting, and the second dropper/driver will power (and control) up lighting.

Q. What if the item arrives damaged?
A. We insure all lighting during delivery, and it is our responsibility to rectify any damage made during delivery.

Q. Does the Simpson collection work with smart home automation systems (e.g. Dynalite, CBUS, Control 4, Casambi, Creston etc)?
A. Yes, we supply products for all home smart systems. Speak to your electrician and let us know if the patch used is for Triac or Dali.
